I just had a trip to New Zealand!!
Queenstown, New Zealand is one of the mountainbike heaven!!
So, what I should do?? Of course!! Guided mounitanbike tour!!
I contacted Fat Tyre Adventures for one day singletrack tour!!
It was little early for mountainbiking in Queenstown...
All the mountains in Queenstown area was coverd with snow....
I was little worried about the wheather because it was raining on the day before....
It was sunny and warm day!!
Our guide Greg came and pick me up at the hotel 12:00.
and thre was another rider from Ireland!!
so there was 3 of us on the tour inclucing Greg!!
Greg took us to south about one hour drive from Queenstown.
South is colder in New Zealand....but South is more dry...Greg said..
We came to the trail head.
It was top of hill and it was sheep farmland and grapevine below the hill.
Greg prepared me a brand new Jamis Dakar Sport (with disk brake!!).
The ride was started with fireroad climb and then singletrack, downhill, some technical trails..
Mixture of almost everything....(No slick rock..of course...this is not MOAB!!)
Greg was very tough guy and he was climbing very fast!!
We had a great time riding with Greg.
and I guess there are many good trails when it is summer and become more dry!!
I hope to come back sometime in the near future and ride more of good trails.
or...maybe come back here as a mountainbike guide???
Sheep!! Sheep!! Sheep!!
So many sheeps in this country!!
Nice track on the hill!!
This is our guide Greg!!
Irish rider!!

Technical downhill
Long downhill!!

Fun ride!!
Great view!!
Riding down to creek!!
Nearly the end of tour...
