Old Mikuni Pass Trail Ride
(Bacon Power Version!?)

Old Mikuni Pass (Normal Version)
TYPE : One Way Round Trail (Houshi Onsen -> Old Mikuni Pass -> Nagai village)
LENGTH : 30km (including 7km on Paved climbing)
DIFFICULTY : Physically moderate / Technically Moderate (1 crash 1 flat tire)
ELEVATION : Low-850m, High-1636m
TIME : 3hrs (Incl.30min Carrying)
RIDERS : ZZ, Shinny, GERMAN, Hacci, Bacon(ex.Achiwa), Pheddie
It was three days weekend!!
My plan was to do the Extreme Long Ride using all three days....
BUT this time we had 6 riders and Hacci was an absolute bignner and first time to ride MTB!!
Also Bacon could ride only one day because he had a badminton match on Sunday.
So I chose a easy Old-Mikuni Pass Trail for the morning warming up.
We had to climb Route17 for 1 hour to Mikuni-pass
and after the climb,We had to carry for more than 30min.!!
When we reached the top of Mikuni pass, everybody was tired...
BUT Achiwa was still poweful!!
We all wondered why he could stay powerful after the tough climb??
The ANSWER was RAW, UNCOOKED BACON!! Ugh....
While we were having a snack, Achiwa took out pack of raw uncooked bacon...
AND he ate them all!! Ugh...
Nobody had raw bacon before...RAW UNCOOKED BACON was his energy source!! Ugh...
On the way Down...Hacci did it!!
Suddenly he disappered from our sight......
He fell off from a cliff for 2-3meters...
Fortunately he did not hurt any part of his body!!
Because the cliff was covered with thick bamboo grass !!
On the High speed downhill part...GERMAN became deathwish Kamikaze rider again!!
But Poor GERMAN.....He got a flat tire....
so poor German had to carry his bike all the way down to where our car was parked!!
Many things happend, But we enjoyed our ride after all!!
Riding starts!!
1 hour of climbing is waiting for us!!

Deathwish GERMAN almost get killed....

With strong request from GERMAN and Shinny..
We cancel the 2nd ride and grabbed a beer at Tonegawa river...
Yes!! Ice cold beer after the ride was gooooooood!!
Hey no raw bacon this time...
BUT we got bacon flavored chips to get energy!!
Kanpai!!
After the Beer, We dropped Bacon at Minakami station and
went to Minakami-Sanso for the Best Onsen in the area!!
After the Onsen....Of course, dinner was yakiniku at Arisan's!!
Arisan serves the great beef!!
We had beef after beef, beer after beer !!
Oh it was a great dinner!! (Hasegawa, Are you envy us??)
Yes!! Yummy Yummy Beef!!
GERMAN was a Yakiniku freak!!
Oh No!! BACON DID IT AGAIN!!
